Launceston Mobile Optometry provides high quality mobile eye care to the aged care sector in the Launceston region.
Eye examinations are personalised, flexible, unhurried and respectful.
A comprehensive eye test includes assessment of vision, examination of eye health, measurement of eye pressure, assessment of spectacle prescription and retinal photography.
Launceston Mobile Optometry has a range of frames to suit all tastes.
Where glasses are needed these can be arranged and delivered.
All equipment is portable and suitable for those with mobility issues, resulting in a much more comfortable eye examination experience.
Eye examinations can be tailored to suit people living with dementia. Clear communication is prioritised with patients, their families and aged care staff. A report can be provided following all comprehensive eye examinations.
For those with visual impairment, Leah will discuss what important activities are currently difficult because of the visual impairment. After an assessment of visual function has been made, low vision aids such as magnifiers, special lighting and glare management can be trialled, and referral for further assistance from VisAbility Low Vision Services may be arranged if required.
